Bees Abroad
We're looking for our next Chair and three new Trustees
Welcome from our Chair, Richard Ridler
Thank you for your interest in Bees Abroad and in our vacancies for Chair and Trustees.
At Bees Abroad we work internationally, predominantly in Africa, with local delivery partners to help change the lives of unsupported rural communities through locally appropriate beekeeping. This opportunity is immense and helps provide a sustainable income to these communities and supports the environment. In addition, the current socio-political increase in social conscience and growing global focus on environmental matters and bees aligns our organisation with an increase in funding opportunities.
It’s time to grow our board, increase its diversity and extend its reach. Over recent years we have evolved from an all-voluntary organisation to one with a CEO and paid staff and this is a success we are determined to build on. We are proud that our impact goes a long way for a small charity.
International development in the context of a small expanding charity is demanding but can be hugely rewarding. Bees Abroad, like all small organisations and businesses, needs people with energy and creativity who are willing to be flexible. Whilst good governance is the primary role of our trustees we encourage engagement beyond this
We are now seeking a Chair and three outstanding Trustees to join us at an exciting time in delivering our strategy and the next phase of our history. People who will bring different lived experiences, fresh thinking and a desire to make a change. We welcome both beekeepers and non-beekeepers alike to apply. We are asking for applications to be submitted by Monday 16th September with final panel interviews on October 18th and 19th.
If this sounds like you, we hope you will be inspired to apply.
